Who are tonight’s opponents?
Tonight’s encounter sees the Texas Longhorns host Tennessee (Wednesday 27 November).
Where is the game being played?
This is a home match for Texas, so will be taking place at the Gregory Gymnasium.
The historic 4000 capacity venue has been the Longhorns’ home since 1998, following an eight-year period when UT’s Recreational Sports Center and the Frank Erwin Center were temporarily used instead.
It is one of the most impressive volleyball arenas in the country, with the facility’s two tiers of seating providing excellent views of the action.
What time does the action get under way?
This evening’s game starts at 7pm CST.
Opposition form guide
Tennessee will be full of confidence heading into this encounter — they are coming off the back of consecutive victories over Arkansas (3-0) and South Carolina (3-0).
In fact, the Volunteers have only suffered defeat once in their last five outings, when they lost 2-3 to Georgia at the Food City Center in mid-November.
Tennessee haven’t won three successive games in the team’s 2024 SEC campaign, though, so will be keen to extend their hot streak in tonight’s clash.
Anything else to know?
Things have been going well for the Longhorns of late, with four consecutive wins and 3-0 triumphs in each of their last three matches.
All of those results came on the road, so it will be a pleasant change for Madi’s team to be playing at the Gregory Gymnasium this evening — though they will need to make sure their home form matches those away performances.
Following tonight’s action, the Longhorns round off the regular season by hosting Ole Miss this weekend.
