Austin are set to host Atlanta this evening (Wednesday January, 15), in the first-ever competitive home game for Madi’s side.
Where is the game being played?
Tonight’s encounter is taking place at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
The 8000-capacity venue in Austin hosts a vast array of live events each year, but is perhaps best known to sports fans as the home of the Texas Stars ice hockey team and the Austin Spurs basketball team — affiliate clubs of the Dallas Stars and Austin Spurs, respectively.
What time does the action get under way?
Tonight’s match gets under way at 7pm CST.
Opposition guide
Atlanta have only played once so far — kicking off their campaign with a 3-1 home defeat to Salt Lake (22-25, 25-27, 25-21, 21-25).
They will be eager to bounce back in their second game, then, as the Georgia-based side bid to claim a first triumph of 2025.
The team are managed by Paulo Coco, who has enjoyed success as the Brazil women’s national team’s second coach since joining them in 2003.
Brazil won silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, triumphed nine times at FIVB Volleyball World Grands Prix, finished second at three World Championships and claimed gold at the 2011 Pan American Games during that period.

Madi made an eye-catching start to her life as a professional volleyball player — amassing an eye-catching 22 kills, an ace, five blocks and eight digs during her debut against Houston last Thursday.
Austin were on the losing side that evening (3-2) but made amends by sweeping Madison the following day.
Tonight’s maiden home match offers Marco Bonitta’s team the chance to make it back-to-back victories and start building some momentum in the early stages of the season.
