Who are tonight’s opponents?
LOVB Austin’s next match sees them play Atlanta for the third time this season.
They will be looking to get revenge for their previous two meetings with the team from Georgia, which saw Atlanta win 3-1 in Gameweek 2, before triumphing by the same scoreline in the LOVB Classic.
Where is the game being played?
Atlanta are hosting the latest in a run of Weekend with LOVB events.
This one is taking place at the Gateway Center Arena — a state-of-the-art 5000-seat venue in College Park, located on the city’s Southside.
The home team opened proceedings against Houston on Friday, and will take to the court again in this evening’s match-up.Elsewhere, Madison are playing Houston in today’s other game.
What time does the action get under way?
Austin’s match against Atlanta gets under way at 7pm ET this evening.
Opposition guide
Atlanta came into Gameweek 9 on sensational form, having won all but one of their matches in 2025.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, that put them top of the table, with three wins more than second-place Houston before this weekend’s games.
However, they narrowly lost to Houston by a 3-2 scoreline yesterday, so will be keen to bounce back in this evening’s encounter.
Internationally renowned head coach Paulo Coco is leading the team with aplomb, while outside hitter Kelsey Cook has been racking up the points for LOVB Pro’s league-leaders.
Anything else to know?
Interim Austin head coach Chris McGown had initially made a strong to life with the Texans, winning his first two matches against Houston and Salt Lake by 3-1 scorelines.
But the team were brought back down to earth in Gameweek 8, when they were beaten 3-0 by a resurgent Madison side.
They will be desperate to prove that result was just a blip against Atlanta — and to finally get a win over the team from Georgia at the third attempt.
Madi can build on some fine personal form in this match-up, too, having topped the charts for point-scoring (126) and kills (107) following her last appearance in Wisconsin.
